That made for a long time not to have anything considering that we had just made it to the original gate and we had no time to stop to get food or a drink. Then we didn't want to leave the gate to get food because we wouldn't know how much longer the delay would be.

I paid extra to have more legroom and it is definitely worth it for a six hour flight. I would’ve paid for a decent dinner, but they didn’t offer anything but a snack box —not good for six hours. Crew were fine, drinks and snacks were as well but we were delayed for around 2 hrs which made our entry into Mexico delayed as well with the influx of arrivals at the same time. This is a really interesting role for Considine, who doesn’t have many passive and manipulable characters in his back catalogue – and the matter of choosing his heir is the main driver of the plot this season. House Hightower is one of the oldest houses in the Seven Kingdoms. They trace their ancestry from the days of the First Men and records claim that they have been settled in the area around the mouth of the Honeywine since time immemorial, ruling as petty kings in the days of the First Men.

Because the city was so well defended, it was brought into the realm of Highgarden by marriage rather than conquest. In the books he’s Corlys’ nephew, so there’s some tweaks going on here in the screen adaptation, and he may be a conflation of more than one character.
The structure is said to be taller than The Wall and is considered one of the major wonders of the world. Such a powerful city must require an equally powerful dynastic family to keep it in order. The Hand of the King, Ser Otto loyally and faithfully serves both his king and his realm. As the Hand sees it, the greatest threat to the realm is the king’s brother, Daemon, and his position as heir to the throne.
He has a less-than-platonic relationship with Rhaenyra Targaryen. Their parents must have thought it was cute to give their offspring gendered versions of the same name. Since his mother arguably should have been Queen, he’s another Velaryon that could have been an eventual contender for the Iron Throne if not for the Great Council opting for Viserys. Also known by the moniker ‘The Sea Snake’, aka Westeros’ most famous seafarer, overseer of the world’s largest navy, and, for a time, a key ally of Daemon Targaryen. His house is more wealthy than even the Lannisters – we assume he, too, always pays his debts.

Hopefully, we will at least see the inevitable showdown between Daemon and (Mini-Me) Aemond, and if that plot point follows the Fire and Blood book, both men should be very afraid. Obviously, the show will continue to track the Targaryen lineage about 300 years prior to near-extinction level on Game of Thrones. So, we’ll see the “Dance of the Dragons,” so nicknamed by the civilians of Westeros, take place with mass casualties as a result. The Inverse Analysis — House Hightower doesn’t have much of a presence in Game of Thrones. However, thanks to both Alicent and Otto, the Hightowers are going to be one of the most important families in House of the Dragon.

In fact, the family were kings of their respective area during the time of the First Men during the Dawn of Days. The noble house with an impeccable lineage has used the tower to help guide trade over centuries and build The Reach into the prosperous Westerosi bread basket it is today.

Before becoming bannermen to House Gardener, the Hightowers ruled as kings, taking the title King of the High Tower. Currently the family has strong family ties with other Houses in the Reach, lord Leyton second daughter Alerieing married their liege lord Mace Tyrell. In the War of the Five Kings, House Hightower were supporters along with the rest of House Tyrell's bannermen of Renly Baratheon claim to the Iron Throne over his brother Stannis. But after his death, many of the their fellow bannermen allied with House Lannister, giving their support in the Battle of the Blackwater. Despite this, House Hightower continues to be cautious in their support.

Even after Aegon’s Landing, Oldtown remained the cultural center of Westeros in many ways. But the uptight, opportunistic Otto is more powerful than Tywin ever was. He has more influence over key Westerosi institutions, in what some call the Oldtown Triad (the Citadel, the Faith and House Hightower). And he has convinced the king that he is an honorable man — “an unwavering and loyal Hand,” as King Viserys (Paddy Considine) calls him.
However, House Hightower is a close ally of House Tyrell and has married into the house several times, and all the houses sworn to Oldtown hold their allegiance to Highgarden first and foremost.
